REO
"REO" stands for Real Estate Owned. When a mortgage is delinquent there is a foreclosure which could culminate in foreclosure auction. At the auction, if there are no cash buyers then the bank will take ownership of the real estate. At this point it is becomes the property of the bank and thus Real Estate Owned (by the bank).

Commercial property values for distressed assets continue to weaken despite the floodgates not opening. We have acquired deep discount value add opportunities with minimal asset distress. The strategy targets short to medium term capital growth opportunities as well longer term opportunities in assets with post stabilization cap rates in the mid double digits which equates to significant levered yields providing for strong ROI during the hold and significant capital appreciation upon exit.
